Have a 3000 watt eliminator inverter, manual says use 2 sets of wires? I planned on using 8 guage 2 wire from 2 - Eliminator MotoMaster Mobile Power question.
The instructions seem to state that I will need 2 sets of 25mm squared size of cable (assume that is 4 AWG?) hooked up TOGETHER in order to get the full potential (2500 watt continuous 5000 watt surge) from this inverter. It has 2 each of positive and negative inputs. I have a Canadian Tire 3000 watt eliminator power inverter.
PI-2000 $1 Watt 12 Volt Power Inverter -This heavy duty inverter plugs directly to a 12 Volt DC battery to power large appliances, air conditioners, heavy duty power tools and many other electronics in your vehicle, or on a free standing 12V battery! -Incandescent light, power tools, 32'TV, fridge (16 cu ft),8 gallon vacuum cleaner, 1000W microwave oven. Iron loss includes two aspects: hysteresis loss and eddy current loss, which can be calculated by measuring the no-load current of transformers.Eliminator 2000w Inverter Manual Rating: 9,6/10 1681votes When current is heated by passing through the resistance of inductance coil, part of electric energy is transformed into heat energy and lost, and because the coil is usually wrapped by insulated copper wire, it is also called copper loss, which can be calculated by measuring the short-circuit impedance of transformers. Among them, copper loss refers to the loss caused by resistance of inductance coil. It can be divided into copper loss and iron loss. Among them, conduction loss is related to internal resistance and current passing through components, while switching loss is related to switching frequency of components and DC voltage endured by components. It can be divided into conduction loss and switching loss. The main losses of power inverters come from IGBT, MOSFET and other power switch tubes, as well as magnetic devices such as transformers and inductors, which is related to the current, voltage and the process adopted by the selected materials.
The only way to improve the efficiency of power inverters is to reduce the losses. Tips: What factors affecting the efficiency of power inverter?
